You may have noticed that we’re a tech company. On our website you’ll find a lot of talk about IT products, services, and a bunch of techno jargon, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret…I’m not a techie. I have a basic understanding of servers, networks, workstations, wi-fi, etc., in that I know the words and maybe an elementary idea of how each operates, but that’s as far as my knowledge on the matter goes.
Truth is, I’m a marketer, a writer, a designer, and many other things that may not be entirely relevant to this blog, but a technology guru I am not. I am surrounded by technology experts every day, and I lean on them for my understanding of how the industry operates so that I can be the voice of who we are and what we do. I’m not only thankful for their knowledge of information technology, but I am especially grateful for their ability to explain their expertise in layman’s terms. Otherwise, I would be lost, and I certainly wouldn’t be very good at my job, which means you might be lost too because we wouldn’t even have the ability to market our business and tell you about what we offer.
Let’s Go On a Journey
On this journey of blog writing, I want to create informative pieces that allow our readers to better understand our industry, to see the benefits of technology, the advantage of utilizing IT professionals, and the way our products and services can best serve small businesses, but I’m also going to make a point to publish blogs that give insight to our readers on other areas in which small businesses can benefit. Because our main goal is to support small businesses as best we can.
Marketing, entrepreneurship, social media, modern technology trends we use in daily life, and maybe even some pop culture ramblings are just a few of the topics you can expect to see moving forward. Our company is fortunate to be comprised of an eclectic team who has a lot of experience in different professional areas and hobbies, and we’ll use that to keep you, the reader, informed and entertained.
On That Note…LinkedIn
Go with me here. I’ve rambled enough. So, I’m going to continue to deliver on my promise of providing valuable content by quickly touching on a hot topic in the business and marketing world that I can’t seem to escape these days. LinkedIn. To join or not to join? To engage or not to engage?
Today’s LinkedIn is far more than just a hunting ground for hiring managers and recruiters. It’s a place to demonstrate knowledge, skill, and credibility to build professional trust and add value.
You can join LinkedIn peer groups to grow more within your industry. There is even a plethora of training courses offered by LinkedIn to help you hone your chops in specific areas within your industry or just areas of business you’re curious about growing in.
I have seen and heard from multiple entrepreneurs and marketing professionals touting LinkedIn as the new Facebook for small business. Being that the entire platform revolves around promoting business and professionalism, it sets the perfect stage for networking and even prospecting.
I, for one, am a big supporter of the platform. Brea Networks is gaining more and more opportunities stemming from LinkedIn interactions. Creating a presence on this platform by posting daily, adding and ENGAGING with new professionals, and sharing inspired posts makes for simple, organic growth that can lead to great new relationships and maybe even turn to leads when the time is right. It’s simple, yet effective, and that’s my favorite combination.

Help a Blog Writer Out
Our goal with our blogs isn’t to ramble on and on or just throw words onto a page. We want to engage the reader by providing value. So, feel free to send us a message with information you would like to know more about, whether it’s technology, marketing, or simply business-based questions, we’ll tackle the topic to the best of our ability.
And, please, give us feedback. We’d love to hear more about your opinion on our blog and the content we’re putting out. While writing is a fun outlet that I enjoy, the purpose of doing this is to draw in readers, and I can’t do that if I’m missing the mark.
We look forward to hearing from you!
